Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi set for 3-month layoff due to foot fracture

AFC Bournemouth have been dealt a significant injury blow with Eli Junior Kroupi (20) undergoing surgery to repare a fifth metatarsal fracture, as reported by RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins. The France U21 international is expected to miss up to three months of action with Marco Rose’s Cherries. The exact recovery timeline will depend on Kroupi’s rehabilitation process.

Kroupi took Premier League by storm since his transfer from BKFC-owned Ligue 1 side FC Lorient. He logged 13 goals in his debut season in the English third-tier. The performances of Eli Kroupi’s son have reportedly caught the attention of several European powerhouses, including FC Barcelona.

Los Blaugranes are in the market for a centre-forward after Robert Lewandowski’s transfer to Chicago Fire. Bournemouth have reportedly turned down several bids from the La Liga champions.
