John Stones set to leave Manchester City

John Stones is set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season according to reports.

The 31-year-old is currently in his 10th season with the club after joining from Everton back in the summer of 2026.

Despite having been a key player for Pep Guardiola's team over the years, including as a part of the 2022/23 treble-winning side, his recent seasons have seen him struggle with injuries.

According to journalists David Ornstein and Sam Lee of The Athletic , Stones' departure is a mutual decision between the player and the club and will be officially announced next week.

The 31-year-old has played 292 games for the Citizens so far, chipping in with 19 goals from defence. This season he has made just 15 appearances for the club with the last of those coming against Newcastle United in the FA Cup in early March.
