One week after delivering the

most-watched opening night ever

, NBC and Peacock are back with another star-studded doubleheader with tonight’s season debut of Coast 2 Coast Tuesdays.

The action tips off at

8 ET

from Madison Square Garden with the defending champion New York Knicks (0-3) welcoming the Detroit Pistons (3-0). All-Star guards Jalen Brunson and Cade Cunningham headline the matchup with the Knicks searching for their first win of the season and the Pistons seeking their first 4-0 start since 2018.

NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico (play-by-play), three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford, who played for New York from 2004-2008 (analyst), and Jordan Cornette (courtside reporter) will call the East matchup.

In the nightcap at

8 PT (11 ET)

from Crypto.com Arena, more star guards take center stage in Los Angeles as Luka Dončić and the Lakers (3-0) host Damian Lillard, Ja Morant and the Portland Trail Blazers (2-0). Both teams will look to remain undefeated, with Dončić coming off the first 50-point game of the 2026-27 season when he erupted for 52 points Sunday in Utah.

What is unique about Coast 2 Coast Tuesdays on NBC?

In addition to delivering marquee matchups throughout the season, Coast 2 Coast Tuesdays offer a distinctive broadcast schedule — putting NBA hoops in primetime based on time zones across the United States.

On most Tuesdays, an 8 ET game will be presented to NBC stations in the Eastern and Central time zones, and an 8 PT game to NBC stations in the Pacific and Mountain time zones. Both games will stream live nationwide on Peacock.

Using tonight’s doubleheader as an example, the Pistons-Knicks matchup will be broadcast on NBC for households in the Eastern and Central time zones, while fans in the Mountain and Pacific time zones will have that game available on Peacock only.

Then, in the nightcap, the roles reverse. The Blazers-Lakers game will be broadcast on NBC for households in the Pacific and Mountain time zones, while fans in the Eastern and Central time zones will have that game available on Peacock only.

However, no matter where you live, all Coast 2 Coast Tuesday games will be streamed live nationwide on Peacock. Live coverage on Tuesday night begins with NBA Showtime at 7 ET on Peacock and NBCSN, hosted by NBC Sports’ Maria Taylor alongside Hall of Famers Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady serving as studio analysts.

Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves will make three appearances on Coast 2 Coast Tuesdays this season.
