Tottenham’s dream final month of transfer window as two top signings sealed and three exits

Tottenham are planning to further strengthen their squad despite having already spent £237million this summer. Spurs have secured Sandro Tonali , Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke so far to bolster their midfield and backline.

Andy Robertson , Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka have also moved to north London, saving Roberto De Zerbi funds as they all arrive on free transfers. Despite five players already coming through the doors of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the manager is not planning on slowing his transfer plans down anytime soon.

Discussing his process after the 2-0 friendly win against Auckland on Sunday, De Zerbi said: "It is not finished yet, our transfer market. I think we can be happier at the end of this transfer market, because I spoke a lot to the owner, the board, and they want to build a very strong team for this season, but to make the base for the future to become great again."

A number of Premier League stars have been linked with the Lilywhites, including Savinho, Marcus Rashford and Eli Junior Kroupi. Here, Mirror Football has outlined how Spurs can achieve the ideal start to their 2026/27 season as the transfer window enters its final month.

Spurs have made little secret of their pursuit of Rashford - yet Manchester United are unwilling to sell him to a rival Premier League club. The iPaper reports that United are firmly against facing their academy product in the top flight, with club insiders reportedly fearing "humiliation" should he score against his former employers.

However, the club's top brass have been outspoken about their desire to remove his whopping £350,000-a-week wages from their books. This could hand Tottenham the opening to make a rapid move for the England international.

Rashford enjoyed a stellar spell with Barcelona last season, racking up 28 goal contributions and playing his part in their La Liga title triumph. De Zerbi would need to seal a deal ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea, both of whom have been closely monitoring the 28-year-old.

The Tottenham manager has made no secret of his desire to bring more attacking-minded players into his ranks. Several names have been touted, among them Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi and Franco Mastantuono of Real Madrid.

Kroupi would represent a shrewd acquisition - but the Bournemouth forward has attracted attention from numerous leading clubs across Europe and may ultimately prove too costly. Meanwhile, Real are reportedly only willing to let Mastantuono depart on a temporary basis this summer.

However, Manchester City's Savinho appears to be the ideal wide player for Spurs to pursue. The winger is receptive to a departure, according to BBC Sport , with a switch to Tottenham emerging as a realistic possibility.

The 22-year-old represents a priority target for De Zerbi, with Tottenham conducting discussions last summer about securing his move to north London. City showed no interest in selling at that point but may now be willing to allow Savinho to leave as he seeks more playing opportunities.

Spurs will equally be eager to offload some of their fringe players, whether on loan or permanently. The Daily Mail reports West Ham are interested in acquiring Manor Solomon from Tottenham, with the winger seeking an exit.

Solomon has featured in merely six matches for the club over three seasons, spending time at Villarreal, Fiorentina and Leeds. The player's representative has made it clear that a loan arrangement is not desired, with the Hammers likely having to pay approximately £7m for his signature.

Club captain Cristian Romero has been linked with numerous clubs and is anticipated to depart this summer. Tottenham are reportedly demanding £42.8m for his services, with Inter Milan, Chelsea, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid among the sides to have been mentioned as potential suitors.

Portuguese publication Maisfutebol reports that Porto are pursuing Spurs defender Souza. The left-back was originally recruited during the January transfer window as backup for Djed Spence.
